Transformative Mediation Training
Mediation Services of Adams County is offering a 20-hour training in Transformative Mediation. The training will cover the particular theories behind transformative mediation, how the transformative mediator thinks and what does transformative mediation look like. Role plays are extensively employed in order to practice resolving disputes of various types.
Transformative mediation skills are useful in the workplace, family, service organizations, municipalities, and community agencies. Mediation in particular is a dispute resolution technique designed to resolve problems which develop between people in many different settings. Individuals sit down with a trained mediator and work towards a mutually agreeable solution.
The cost for training is $275 ($245 for early registration). Scholarships for training are available upon request. If you are interested in volunteering for MSAC your tuition will be refunded.
Anyone who has previously taken the training and wishes to refresh his /her skills may enroll free of charge but should register using the current registration form.
Professionally trained mediators will conduct all training sessions. For more information call 717-334-7312 or e-mail mediationac@yahoo.com.
